The following client success stories highlight the breadth and depth of our Interim Management capabilities.
- Served as President & CEO at an academic medical center comprised of a 375-physician practice plan with 14 clinical departments and 22 clinic facilities, a freestanding ambulatory surgery center, a fully accredited 197-bed acute care hospital, a Medicaid risk contract providing managed care services to 48,000, and a small-business health plan covering 8,000 members. Areas of focus included strategic planning, organizational development, practice operations, physician compensation, mergers and acquisitions, facility management, and risk management/malpractice insurance planning.
- Served as COO for a network of over 70 primary care physicians. Developed new medical group, and managed overall practice operations and revenue cycle for 34+ newly acquired physicians (12 practices), and MSO clients. Designed the strategy for integrating new practices and MSO clients into the group.
- Served as CFO for a new, hospital-affiliated medical group comprised of 200 physicians. Focus areas included operations and revenue cycle management, physician compensation, financial operations, human resources, and design/build of clinical office space. Created Central Business Office. Provided strategic planning for growth, acquisition, and implementation strategies. Managed conversion of all practices to a single tax ID number and consolidated the entire medical group onto a single practice management (PM) system.
- Served as Director, Central Billing Office, at an academic medical center, overseeing day-to-day billing operations for approximately 200 providers, and managing 50 employees. Maintained DSO < 40 days. Successfully negotiated A/R settlements with payers, including Medicaid (negotiated and reconciled approximately $70K in A/R over 365 days) and commercial insurers (settlement of $90k resulting in a significant overall reduction in A/R). Successfully oversaw process improvement initiatives.
