Core Vendor Planning & Selection
CHS consultants utilize CHS-developed tools and methodologies to assist clients with selecting the best technology strategies and vendors to meet the unique needs of their organization. Our experience includes conducting risk assessments, integration analysis, vendor selection, capital budgeting and return-on investment analysis.
Program Management
Managing organizational transformations requires lifecycle project planning and project management experience. Additionally, knowledge of the key integration points shared across Epic's inpatient and ambulatory applications is essential to ensuring a cohesive project team. CHS' Epic Program Management experience includes developing project and resource plans, mentoring client's project team and serving as a strategic advisor to client's executive management team.
Interim Management
Organizational changes frequently result in temporary gaps in leadership. Working with a CHS consultant during a transition period fills that leadership gap and ensures the continuity of your mission critical operations and projects. CHS provides temporary executive, practice management and IT leadership to manage operations, revenue cycle, and IT functions, to assist in the recruitment of the full time candidate and to provide sufficient knowledge transfer to ensure a successful transition for the full time manager.
Implementation Planning
CHS-developed readiness assessments identify both risk factors and opportunities for success which provide critical insight into the implementation planning process. CHS works collaboratively with clients to develop implementation strategies, project and resource plans that meet the clinical, revenue cycle and operational needs of their particular organization.
Implementation & Optimization Services
CHS consultants include MDs, RNs, billing managers, integration specialists and application experts who have deep expertise with the lifecycle implementation of Epic applications. This experience includes workflow assessment and redesign, Model System vetting, application design/build, interface development, custom report writing, training and go-live support. CHS strongly believes in post go-live optimization, and works with clients to develop consistent reviews of performance areas to identify opportunities for continual improvement.
Integration & Technical Services
CHS consultants use Clarity report writing (Business Objects & Crystal reports) to extract meaningful data that explains the status of your healthcare organization. In addition to providing reports, interface development (Bridges & InterSystems Ensemble®) and programming in Cache and Visual Basic programming is available. All data conversions via Cache and Bridges conversion interfaces can be written by CHS consultants.
Upgrade Management
Upgrading system versions is necessary to take advantage of new functionality that enables healthcare organizations to meet compliance requirements. CHS consultants can manage the upgrade project, verify points of integration and provide application support. To help staff understand changes resulting from the upgrade, CHS consultants can provide training to ensure your staff is prepared at go-live.
