Our Senior Team: Robert Culbert, President Rob founded Culbert Healthcare Solutions after twenty years of healthcare information technology experience. Rob began his career at IDX serving large health systems and academic medical centers and his areas of responsibility included M programming, Western Region Programming Manager, Eastern Region Customer Support Manager and finally Western Regional Manager for Customer Support and Implementations. For the past eleven years Rob served a number of the largest healthcare organizations in the country delivering and marketing Clinical and Financial Systems Implementation, Revenue Cycle Improvement, Interim Staffing for Practice Management, Billing Operations and Information Technology. Rob has an excellent track record for providing outstanding service, delivering results and developing trust with his customers. James W. Akimchuk, Jr, Vice President, Finance Jim served with the Massachusetts General Physicians Organization for over eleven years as Director of Operations for the physician billing office and most recently as the MGPO Director of Financial Services. Jim has extensive professional billing experience and led numerous revenue cycle improvement efforts to help establish the MGPO as a top performer as compared to the MGMA and University Health Consortium metrics. Jim pioneered the implementation of the electronic lockbox technology in partnership with the Bank of America. Jim has also deployed technology in the areas of business intelligence, refund process improvement, system re-installation and core vendor selection. Michael Whalen, Vice President, Operations Michael joined Culbert Healthcare Solutions after over twenty years at IDX Systems Corporation where Michael held a variety of management positions in Customer Support, Implementations and Technology roles. Michael served as CIO for the past 10 years. Michael has considerable experience providing customer support and implementation services to many of IDX's largest clients. Michael is a Six Sigma trained sponsor, and was involved with many Six Sigma projects in the areas of Help Desk, Product Implementation, and Support. Michael was also instrumental in developing and implementing the internal systems such as Vantive and PeopleSoft as IDX grew to one the largest information technology vendors in healthcare. Michael has a passion for customer service and took great pride in developing the help desk strategy for IDX as it acquired new companies and technologies to expand its service offerings. Brad Boyd, Vice President, Sales & Marketing Brad has over twelve years of experience working with entrepreneurial companies to develop and deliver information technology products and services to the healthcare industry. After managing numerous revenue cycle and operations transformation consulting engagements for large academic medical centers and managed care organizations, Brad received his Masters in Business Administration from Babson College, where he concentrated on entrepreneurship and marketing. Brad then served as a strategy consultant for a venture capital firm in Zurich, Switzerland assisting their biotech and pharma portfolio companies to enter various international markets. For the past two years, Brad served as the Business Manager for a healthcare billing compliance management software business. Keith St. Denis, Director, Integration & Technology Services Keith has served as an IT Director in both clinic and hospital organizations including Fallon Clinic and St. Francis Hospital and has project managed many large clinical and enterprise wide system implementations. Keith has over fifteen years of clinical systems management experience including successful implementations of IDX Carecast, IDX Flowcast, IDX Imagecast, MercuryMD, Lanier Digital Dictation, Softmed and Siemens Pharmacy and Radiology applications. Keith also specializes in system conversions, system integration and interface projects. Keith MacDonald, Director, Strategic Services CHS is proud to announce that Keith MacDonald has joined our management team, serving as Director of Strategic Services. In this role, Keith will lead our practice which focuses on strategic planning, core vendor strategy, vendor selection and operations management. Throughout his twenty year career in healthcare, Keith has provided physician groups, academic medical centers, hospitals and industry trade organizations with Strategic Planning, Vendor Selection, Workflow Improvement/Redesign, Implementation Project Management, Operations Management, and Market Research services. He possesses both broad and deep clinical information and practice management systems experience, and has tracked and reported on IT trends, operational and workflow best practices. Prior to Keith’s seven year consulting career, he served in several capacities at Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates, a large multi-specialty, multi-location physician group, including Manager of Clinic Operations (10 years) and Director of Systems Planning (4 years). Cindi Gardner, Director, Allscripts Services Cindi has served in several senior level management positions for technology vendors including Transition Systems (now Eclipsys) and IDX Systems Corporation. Her experience with these vendors includes project management of financial and clinical technology implementations, customer support, building and managing teams. Cindi leveraged this experience to help young healthcare organizations in the areas of product development, mergers and acquisition and strategic planning. Her Allscripts experience dates back to Channel Health. Susan Okolita, Director, GE Services Susan (Dahme) Okolita served in management positions at GE/IDX for 11 years, where her roles included Managing Director of their Consulting Practice, Manager of Professional Services and National Accounts Advisor. Susan provided direction and leadership to a team of consultants who assisted Academic Medical Centers, Faculty Practice Plans, Multi-Specialty Group Practices, Managed Care Organizations and Integrated Delivery Networks with consulting services aimed at supporting business processes by optimizing the use of GE/IDX technologies. Prior to joining IDX, Susan served as Clinical Practice Manager at UMDNJ, Assistant Administrator at Children’s Hospital Faculty Associates in Washington, DC, and Senior Director of Information Systems at Johns Hopkins. Most recently, Susan served as Channel Manager for Business Development at athenahealth. |
